The East Nile Monorail continues to welcome citizens free of charge for the third consecutive day, amid a large turnout from residents of New Cairo and the New Capital celebrating the opening of the first phase of this massive national project. Trains will receive passengers from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on the route stretching from Al-Moshir Tantawy Station to Madinat Al-Adala Station.
Since the project’s launch, stations have witnessed a large influx of citizens eager to experience the monorail for the first time. The project represents a major leap forward in the sustainable green public transportation system. This free service initiative comes as a gift from the Ministry of Transport to citizens on the occasion of the launch of this vital facility, which connects East Cairo to the heart of the New Administrative Capital.
Citizens expressed admiration for the level of service during their journeys. The trains are air-conditioned and equipped with comprehensive safety and monitoring systems, in addition to the stations’ world-class architectural design. The stations have also been fully equipped to serve people with disabilities through elevators, escalators, and dedicated pathways, making the monorail one of the finest transportation systems recently introduced in Egypt.
