Finland’s ICEYE Secures €200M Satellite Deal With The Polish Ministry of National Defence: Know More

Espoo, Finland-based ICEYE, a microsatellite manufacturer and operator, announced that it has signed an agreement with the Ministry of National Defense of the Republic of Poland.

This agreement involves delivering an initial batch of three ICEYE Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) satellites to the Polish Armed Forces.

Additionally, there is an option to purchase three more satellites and further ground segment capabilities within the next 12 months as part of the Polish Armed Forces’ MikroSAR program.

As part of the agreement, ICEYE will also partner with local industry to provide the Polish Armed Forces with a mobile Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) platform that provides near real-time tasking, data downloads, and analysis.

The total value of the agreement is approximately €200M. The implementation of the agreement commences immediately.

This agreement strengthens ICEYE’s role as a top provider of SAR satellites for military and civilian use worldwide. ICEYE’s SAR satellites provide round-the-clock monitoring of specific locations on Earth, no matter the time or weather.
