In a patriotic atmosphere, the Embassy of the Arab Republic of Egypt to the United Arab Emirates celebrated the 74th anniversary of the glorious July 23 Revolution.
The occasion was marked by an official reception hosted by His Excellency Ambassador Issam Ashour, Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to the UAE, and attended by a high-ranking gathering of official and diplomatic dignitaries.
The celebration was attended by His Highness Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, and His Excellency Khalifa Shaheen Al Marrar, Minister of State at the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The event also drew a large number of Excellencies, ambassadors, members of the diplomatic corps, representatives of accredited diplomatic missions, senior officials, business leaders, media figures, and members of the Egyptian community, reflecting the distinguished standing of Egyptian-Emirati relations.
In his address, Ambassador Issam Ashour emphasized that the July 23 Revolution remains a pivotal turning point in modern Egyptian history, having anchored the national values that contributed to building the modern Egyptian state. He highlighted the development projects and strategic achievements currently unfolding across various sectors in Egypt, guided by a vision aimed at achieving sustainable development and bolstering the country’s regional and international standing under the leadership of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.
His Excellency further praised the depth of the fraternal ties binding Egypt and the UAE, affirming that they represent a unique Arab model of cooperation and integration. This relationship, he noted, is built upon a historical legacy of mutual trust and support, as well as a shared vision for development, stability, and prosperity.
The UAE stands out as one of the largest investors in Egypt, with investments spanning vital and diverse sectors. This reflects the depth of the economic partnership between the two nations and underscores that Egyptian-Emirati relations have transcended traditional cooperation to become a comprehensive strategic partnership serving the mutual interests of both brotherly peoples.
Ambassador Ashour also extended a message of appreciation and pride to the Egyptian community in the UAE, commending their patriotic role and outstanding contributions to the UAE’s development journey. He lauded them for presenting an honorable image of Egyptian citizens, stressing that the Egyptian community has always been, and remains, an active partner in the milestones achieved by the UAE.
Characterized by flawless organization and warm hospitality, the celebration reflected an atmosphere of mutual affection and esteem between the two brotherly nations. It provided an ideal platform for networking among officials, diplomats, and community members, marking a national occasion that epitomized the strength of the official and bilateral ties binding Cairo and Abu Dhabi.
On the sidelines of the celebration, a remarkable documentary photo exhibition was held, organized by the National Library and Archives of the UAE in cooperation with the Egyptian Embassy.
The exhibition showcased prominent milestones in the decades-long history of Egyptian-Emirati relations through a rare collection of historical photographs documenting official meetings, mutual visits between the leadership of both countries, and the bonds shared by successive leaders of Egypt and the UAE. The exhibition attracted significant interest from guests, as it vividly mirrored the depth of fraternal bonds, the deeply rooted historical relations, and the continuous evolution of the strategic partnership across various fields.
The evening concluded with a shared sense of pride in Egypt’s history and its pioneering role in supporting regional development and stability, alongside its steadfast solidarity with its Arab brothers, particularly the UAE. The event reaffirmed that Egyptian-Emirati relations will endure as an exemplary model of genuine brotherhood, strategic partnership, and fruitful cooperation that fulfills the aspirations of both nations and serves the future of coming generations.
