The 27th Water, Energy, Technology, and Environment Exhibition (WETEX), organised by Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) from 30 September to 2 October at the Dubai World Trade Centre, will attract the latest innovations and technologies supporting the expansion of global partnerships, increasing the share of clean and renewable energy in the global energy mix, reducing costs, and raising operational efficiency.
His Excellency Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA and Founder & Chairman of WETEX, said: “The exhibition is aligned with the UAE Climate Neutrality Strategy 2050 and the National Hydrogen Strategy 2050, and represents an ideal global opportunity to enhance cooperation between the UAE and countries around the world in the field of sustainability, especially as clean energy will constitute 36% of the UAE’s energy mix by 2030.”
For his part, Mohamed Jameel Al Ramahi, CEO of Masdar, said: “Strategic platforms such as WETEX contribute to driving sustainable progress and allow us to showcase our latest projects and innovative solutions, consolidate our partnerships, and explore new opportunities to expand reliance on clean energy solutions around the world. This is part of our efforts to increase the production capacity of Masdar’s project portfolio to 100 gigawatts by 2030.”
