The Muay Thai Youth World Cup, currently being held at Space 42 Arena in Abu Dhabi, has received widespread praise from officials of the participating teams, who confirmed that the tournament’s organization and hosting are world-class and professional, providing an ideal environment for the players, helping them showcase their talents and abilities.
The event is organized by the UAE Muay Thai and Kickboxing Federation, with a record turnout of 2,000 participants, including athletes and administrative delegations, from 100 countries. The event has received widespread international acclaim for the level of services and technical and logistical preparations, reflecting the UAE’s leading position in hosting international sporting events.
Eng. Abdulaziz Al Bannan, CEO of the Saudi Muay Thai Federation, confirmed that the Saudi national team is participating in the tournament with 28 players. He praised the tournament’s professional organization, the close monitoring by the UAE Muay Thai Federation, and its commitment to providing all necessary comfort and support to all delegations. He added that these efforts reflect the UAE’s interest in strengthening its position as a global destination for combat sports, in addition to its significant support for the development of Muay Thai at the regional and international levels.
For his part, Mustafa Jabbar, member of the Executive Office of the Iraqi National Olympic Committee and President of the Iraqi Muay Thai Federation, said that the championship represents a key preparation stage for the Iraqi national team, which is participating with 27 male and female players, as part of its preparations for the 2025 Asian Games in Bahrain. He emphasized that the UAE’s hosting of the championship with this world-class organization reflects a strategic vision to develop the capabilities of the players and expand the scope of international competition.
In the same vein, Joy Fernandez, Secretary General of the Philippine Muay Thai Federation, expressed her great appreciation for the excellent organization in Abu Dhabi, noting that her country’s delegation, comprising 21 people including 12 male and female players, was participating with the goal of strong competition and achieving the best results.
Fernandez emphasized that the tournament was a positive experience for the Philippines national team, thanks to the ideal environment provided by the organizing committee and the high level of professionalism in all aspects of the event, from accommodation and transportation to technical and logistical support.
