6,834 Open Areas Designated Nationwide for Eid al-Adha Prayers in Egypt: Ministry

The Ministry of Religious Endowments announced the allocation of 6,834 open areas across the country for Eid al-Adha [Feast of Sacrifice] prayers, in addition to the major mosques where the Eid prayer will be held.

This is in line with the Ministry’s commitment to facilitating access for citizens and enabling them to perform their religious rites in a peaceful, organized, and safe atmosphere. The Ministry confirmed that it has completed its early preparations for the Eid prayer.

The designated open areas and mosques have been optimally prepared, with special attention given to providing suitable spaces for the elderly and people with disabilities. This ensures tranquility and order, allowing worshippers to perform their prayers in an atmosphere of peace and joy.

Regulations for Eid al-Adha Prayers:

  • Adherence to the designated open areas and ensuring they are fully prepared.
  • Allocating suitable spaces for the elderly and people with disabilities.
  • Avoiding crowding or behaviors that detract from the solemnity of the prayer.
  • Prohibiting any misuse of the open areas that deviates from the purpose of the Eid prayer.
  • Leaving the prayer areas clean after the prayer and avoid damaging public property.
  • Adhering to the instructions of the organizing authorities.
  • Preventing anything that obstructs the movement of worshippers or causes harm.
  • Ensuring clear emergency exits.
  • Providing suitable loudspeakers that do not cause disturbance or interference.
  • Arranging female preachers to supervise the women’s prayer areas.

The Ministry affirmed that all governorate endowments directorates are closely monitoring preparations to ensure that the Eid prayer is conducted in the best possible manner, reflecting the spirit of this blessed occasion and highlighting the role of mosques in spreading faith and community joy on this great day.
