Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty travelled to Barcelona on Thursday to attend the 10th Union for the Mediterranean (UfM) Regional Forum, scheduled for Friday. The forum coincides with the 30th anniversary of the Barcelona Process, which laid the foundations for dialogue and cooperation across the Mediterranean.

The foreign minister will also take part in a ministerial meeting to launch the new pact for the Mediterranean, the foreign ministry said. Abdelatty is expected to hold a series of bilateral talks with foreign ministers and senior officials attending the forum to discuss strengthening bilateral ties and exchanging views on regional and international developments.
