The Egyptian Red Crescent launched its 125th “Zad Al-Izza From Egypt to Gaza” convoy early Tuesday, sending dozens of trucks carrying urgent humanitarian assistance to the Gaza Strip as part of its continued role as Egypt’s national mechanism for coordinating aid to Gaza.

The convoy delivered more than 7,475 tons of comprehensive relief supplies to meet pressing basic needs in the enclave. The assistance included over 3,540 tons of food baskets and flour, more than 2,345 tons of medical supplies and relief items, around 210 tons of infant formula, and over 1,380 tons of petroleum products.

As part of the same efforts, the Egyptian Red Crescent also provided essential winter assistance, including more than 54,700 winter clothing items, over 11,260 blankets, and 170 tents to shelter displaced and affected families. The “Zad Al-Izza From Egypt to Gaza” initiative was launched by the Egyptian Red Crescent on July 27, 2025, and has since delivered thousands of tons of humanitarian aid, including food supplies, flour, infant formula, medicines, medical equipment, personal hygiene items, and fuel.

Since the onset of the crisis, the Egyptian Red Crescent has maintained a continuous presence at the border, with the Rafah crossing remaining open from the Egyptian side. The organization has sustained full operational readiness across its logistical centers, facilitating the delivery of more than half a million tons of humanitarian and relief aid through the dedicated efforts of around 65,000 volunteers.
