The Ministry of Health and Population announced that 21,899 medical services have been provided through the clinics of the Egyptian Hajj Medical Mission in the Holy Lands of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as of the arrival of the first groups of Egyptian pilgrims until Sunday evening, May 24.
Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the official spokesperson for the Ministry of Health and Population, confirmed that the overall health condition of all Egyptian pilgrims in the Holy Lands is stable and good, and no outbreaks or spread of infectious diseases have been detected among them. This is thanks to close coordination and continuous cooperation with the Saudi health authorities.
Dr. Abdel Ghaffar added that the Egyptian medical mission teams are working around the clock to provide the best preventive and curative services, ensuring the safety and comfort of the Egyptian pilgrims. For his part, Dr. Ahmed Mustafa, head of the Egyptian Hajj Medical Mission, explained that the total number of services provided on Sunday reached 1,851 medical services in the clinics of Mecca and Medina.
Regarding cases receiving specialized care in Saudi hospitals, Dr. Ahmed Mustafa reported that the total number of currently hospitalized cases is 25, including 23 cases in Mecca (13 in inpatient wards, 5 in intermediate care, and 5 in intensive care), and 2 cases in intensive care in Medina.
Dr. Mustafa expressed his sincere appreciation and gratitude for the outstanding medical care and prompt, professional support provided by Saudi hospitals to Egyptian pilgrims, which contributes to the improvement of their health and their rapid recovery.
The Ministry of Health and Population affirms its continued monitoring of Egyptian pilgrims in their accommodations, along with ongoing and full coordination with Saudi health authorities, to ensure the good health and complete safety of all pilgrims during the Hajj pilgrimage.
