About 10 wolves live in two or three packs in Krkonoše National Park on the Czech-Polish border, rangers confirmed. A successful breeding was recorded in the western mountains this year.
Officials say wolves pose no threat to visitors, though 30 livestock attacks were logged. The species, strictly protected in Czechia, is spreading along border areas. Monitoring continues as numbers rise across the country, particularly near Germany and Poland.
