The Prime Minister affirmed the Government’s keenness to provide an attractive investment environment, including following up on the problems faced by investors and resolving them by the best means. He noted that a number of measures have been taken to improve the investment climate, simplify government procedures and provide various incentives to investors, with the aim of encouraging both foreign and domestic investment.

The meeting addressed the issue of removing obstacles confronting a number of investors, especially those from the Gulf states, across various sectors, and of providing the necessary facilitation and ease through coordination among the competent authorities to support their investments in the Egyptian market in projects of significant economic and strategic importance.

The Cabinet Spokesperson Mohamed Al-Homsani noted that the meeting discussed, in light of the foregoing, the importance of identifying the causes of the problems faced by some investors, eliminating their root causes and providing flexible solutions.

Al-Homsani added that it was affirmed during the meeting that the investment climate in Egypt is supported by positive indicators in the Egyptian economy in recent times, despite global economic challenges, as evidenced by praise from international economic institutions and an improvement in Egypt’s credit rating. The Government’s efforts to resolve any investors’ issues form part of continuing measures to further enhance the country’s investment climate.
