Russian-produced electric buses are replacing diesel buses on Moscow routes. The measures are being introduced to reduce emissions and improve passenger comfort. This was reported to TV BRICS by the press service of its partner, State Unitary Enterprise Mosgortrans.

The enterprise will receive an additional 100 LiAZ-6274 electric buses manufactured in Russia. They will be delivered to the Chertanovo operating site. To date, more than 470 LiAZ electric buses are already in operation in Moscow. It is noted that next-generation transport creates more comfortable conditions for passengers thanks to spacious interiors, smooth movement, and low noise levels. At the same time, testing is underway of a fast-charging station for electric buses (UBZS).

The UBZS with an inverted-type pantograph is an ultra-fast charging station for electric buses using innovative contact charging technology. Unlike traditional methods, the pantograph (current collector) is located not on the electric bus but on the mast of the charging station, while contact rails are installed on the roof of the electric bus. Earlier it was reported that the Russian capital will receive five electric buses equipped with autonomous driving functionality.
