FM Abdelatty Expresses Egypt’s Interest in Hosting Global Center for Grain Storage

Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration, and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs, Badr Abdelatty, expressed on Friday Egypt’s interest in hosting a global center for grain storage, supply, and trade.

This initiative aims to enhance global food security and strengthen related supply chains. During a phone call from Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha on Friday, Abdelatty highlighted Egypt’s strategic advantages, including its unique geographical location and robust logistical infrastructure.

The call focused on strengthening bilateral relations and discussed recent developments regarding the Ukrainian crisis. Minister Abdelatty reviewed the trajectory of Egypt-Ukraine relations, emphasizing a commitment to further enhancing cooperation in the economic, trade, investment, and tourism sectors to serve the interests of both nations.

The two ministers also exchanged views on the situation in Ukraine. The Egyptian Foreign Minister reiterated Cairo’s firm stance calling for continued political efforts to reach a peaceful settlement through dialogue and diplomatic means, with the ultimate goal of preserving regional and international security and stability.
