According to TV BRICS partner Global Times, China announced that a new oil field has been discovered in the Bohai Sea. This is the seventh discovery since 2019 at China’s largest Bohai oil field, with reserves of 100 million tons of oil. The discovery further strengthens China’s offshore oil and gas reserves and is of great significance for safeguarding national energy security.
According to reports, the oil field uses modern oil and gas migration and accumulation methods, with development carried out on shallow Neogene slopes, which led to this important discovery. Tests show that the daily output of a single well is about 370 tons of crude oil, demonstrating the field’s great potential.
