Abu Dhabi Aquatics Center Hosts Masters Championship with 160 Male, Female Swimmers

The Abu Dhabi Aquatics Club announced that the capital, Abu Dhabi, will host the Swim for Life Masters Championship next Sunday, with the participation of more than 160 swimmers from 15 nationalities, representing 31 teams, competing in 24 diverse races. Humaid Al Hooti, ​​Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Water Sports Club, confirmed the club’s readiness to host the major event, which precedes the hosting and participation in the Abu Dhabi Masters Games 2026.

He noted that the championship will feature elite amateur and professional swimmers, which will contribute to strengthening Abu Dhabi’s position as a water sports destination. He explained that the championship will be accompanied by an integrated community experience aimed at spreading awareness of the importance of water sports.

The championship programme includes races in various disciplines and distances (50m, 100m, 200m) in freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly and medley swimming. The age groups include all levels of men and women, starting from 18 years old to 51 years old and above
