Sharjah Handball Club will meet the California Eagles, the champion of North America and the Caribbean, next Friday, in the opening match of the two teams in the Club World Handball Championship, which is being held in the Arab Republic of Egypt, from September 26 to October 3, with the participation of nine clubs. During its current camp in the Arab Republic of Egypt, the team will play a friendly match tomorrow against one of the Egyptian teams before concluding its preparations for the first match in the World Championship.
Jassim Mohammed, a member of the Board of Directors of Group Games at Sharjah Club and supervisor of the game, confirmed the team’s readiness for the start of the tournament, explaining that the goal is to go as far as possible and achieve the best result. Sharjah qualified to participate in the tournament as the champion of the Asian Handball Champions League in its last edition.
