President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi emphasized Egypt’s water security as an existential issue and a top priority for the country as he received US Senior Advisor for Arab and African Affairs Massad Boulos on Wednesday.
Presidential spokesman Mohamed El-Shennawy said the issue of water security was discussed as part of broader regional concerns, with El-Sisi stressing its direct link to Egypt’s national security.
Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty and Head of the General Intelligence Service (GIS) Hassan Rashad attended the talks, alongside US embassy officials, including Deputy Chief of Mission Evyenia Sidereas.
